1. Service Description

Bit & Grain Inventory is a cloud-based tool inventory management system provided by Bit & Grain Studio. The service allows you to:

• Track and organize workshop tools, lumber, and consumables
• Manage projects and maintenance schedules
• Access workshop calculators and educational resources
• Store photos and documentation of your inventory

2. Account Terms

Account Creation

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
• You must provide a valid email address
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must not share your account credentials with others

Account Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your contact information up to date
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Use a strong, unique password

3. Acceptable Use

You May:

• Use the service for personal or business workshop management
• Upload photos and data related to your workshop
• Export your data at any time
• Share feedback and feature requests

You May Not:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer or copy the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or download content
• Resell or redistribute the service
• Upload content that violates others' intellectual property rights

4. Payment Terms

Subscription Plans

• Free Trial: 7-day trial with full access to all features
• Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly after trial ends
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled

Billing

• Payment is processed through Stripe
• You will be charged on the same day each billing cycle
• All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Refunds

• No refunds for partial months of service
• Cancel anytime to avoid future charges
• Refunds considered on a case-by-case basis for service issues

5. Cancellation & Termination

Your Rights

• Cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Access continues until the end of your current billing period
• Export your data before cancellation
• No cancellation fees

Our Rights

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Use the service in a way that harms others or our systems

6. Data Ownership & Retention

Your Data

• You retain all rights to your workshop data
• You can export your data at any time
• We do not claim ownership of your content
• You grant us a license to store and display your data to provide the service

Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Data stored indefinitely while subscription is active
• Cancelled Accounts: Data retained for 30 days after cancellation
• After 30 Days: Data permanently deleted from our systems
• Backups: May persist in backups for up to 90 days
• Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law

Data Deletion

To request immediate data deletion:

• We will delete your data within 7 business days
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

7. Intellectual Property

The Bit & Grain Inventory service, including all software, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Bit & Grain Studio and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software
• You may not use our trademarks without permission
• Screenshots for personal use or reviews are permitted

8. Disclaimers & Limitations

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for data loss (always maintain backups)
• We are not liable for third-party services or content
